I often have students asking me for podcast recommendations in French. Well, Arte Radio is an incredible plateforme full of varied resources where everyone should find its happiness as we say in French ("Trouver son bonheur").
Personally, I really enjoyed listening to the Chute de lapinville, a satirical tale inviting us to reflect on pressing topics like climate change while offering a sharp critique of French society.
The anti-hero, Lapin, is a narcissistic who inadvertently triggers the greatest climate catastrophe ever. The story dives into family dynamics, dissects societal issues, and uses Lapin as an allegory for France itself.
Throughout the podcast, you'll encounter references to quintessentially French concepts like BlaBlaCar, la CAF, small-town life, and politics. Plus, it's packed with everyday expressions, spoken French, and relatable situations—perfect for language learners.
